"PA LCSW Supervision is a required process for Licensed Social Workers in Pennsylvania pursuing their clinical license. The state mandates 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, with at least 2 hours of supervision for every 40 hours worked—totaling a minimum of 150 supervision hours. At least half of this experience must involve direct clinical practice, such as assessment, psychotherapy, therapeutic interventions, consultation, family therapy, or group therapy. Supervision provides guidance, feedback, and professional development to ensure competence in independent clinical work."
